Luffy, Ace and Sabo take centre stage
The theme of this set is legacy: a new generation of pirates picking up where others left off. Fresh portraits of Luffy, Ace and Sabo put that idea front and centre.
Having the three of them in one set is a big part of the appeal of a Carrying On His Will booster box. Each new artwork is worth a spot in a dedicated binder page, and the trio makes a strong display set once you have pulled all three.
Protect the art cards
Have penny sleeves and top loaders ready before you open the first pack. Artwork cards and Secret Rares should go straight into protection rather than onto a pile with the commons.
New Leaders to build around
OP-13 brings a fresh batch of Leaders into the game. In the One Piece Card Game, your Leader sets both the colours of your deck and its overall game plan, so every new Leader is a new deck to try.
Add the new Rares to the mix and you have several fresh lists worth trying before your next store event. Lay the Leaders out first when you sort, then group the rest of your pulls by colour to see which list you can build straight away.
Who should open a Carrying On His Will booster box
This anniversary box works on two levels. If you play, the new Leaders give you something to test. If you collect, the Secret Rares and the new art of the trio are the cards to hunt for your binder.
Buying for a fan of Luffy, Ace and Sabo? A sealed box is an easy present. Store it somewhere cool and shaded until it is handed over, and the packaging will still look its best on the day.
Opening with a plan
Put each Leader to one side the moment it appears. When the final wrapper comes off, you can go straight to planning decks. Keep a running list of Secret Rares pulled, which makes trading easier afterwards. A single Carrying On His Will booster box shared with a friend can also turn into a fun trading session once every pack is open.
