  • 3 flip deck cases
  • 3 sets of deck sleeves, 64 per set
  • 1 tool box
  • 64 damage counters: 36 × 10, 18 × 50 and 10 × 100

Classic Artwork, Its Own Rules

The three decks reuse illustrations from cards in the first Japanese expansion pack of 1996, mixed with newly designed cards that include Pokémon ex. Classic runs on its own rules and carries no regulation marks, because it is meant to be played as a self-contained game rather than within the Standard or Expanded formats.

Tournament and language notes

Apart from basic Energy, cards from this set cannot be used in official tournaments. Think of it as a premium tabletop game for family nights, nostalgic collectors and friends who want a match without building decks first. As the Japanese Pokémon Card Game Classic, the cards carry Japanese text, and it is a separate release from the English Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic.
