Description
Zekrom fans can buy Black Bolt SV11B Booster Box stock from TCG Overvault: a sealed Japanese display of 20 packs from the Scarlet & Violet set ブラックボルト (Black Bolt), priced in Australian dollars.
Black Bolt launched in Japan on 6 June 2025 next to its sister set, White Flare (SV11W). It brought in a brand-new rarity, and every card in this Japanese Black Bolt booster box is printed in Japanese.

Inside the 20-pack Japanese display
The box contents are:
- 20 Black Bolt booster packs (set code SV11B)
- 7 Japanese-language cards per pack
- 140 cards in total
Black Bolt packs hold seven cards instead of the five you find in many Japanese boxes. You open fewer packs, but each one gives you more to look through, including mirror foils printed with a Poké Ball pattern.
Counting the secret rares, the list reaches 174 cards, built on 86 main-set cards, which means a single display makes a solid first run at completing it.
Who this box suits
A Japanese Black Bolt booster box suits Zekrom collectors, Unova fans and anyone building a binder of illustrated rares. It is also a good pick for openers who enjoy longer packs, since every wrapper holds seven cards rather than five.
The Zekrom ex Black White Rare
Black Bolt introduced the Black White Rare, shortened to BWR. This set has just one: Zekrom ex 174/086, the final card on the list and the pull everyone hopes to find.
Its partner set, White Flare, carries separate monochrome Black White Rares, and many Unova fans gather both halves. For anyone whose favourite is Zekrom, though, this box is where its BWR turns up.
An illustrated rare for every Pokémon
The official Pokémon Card Game site notes that each Pokémon in Black Bolt gets an Art Rare (AR) or a Special Art Rare (SAR). That suits binder collectors well, since there is an illustrated version of every Pokémon in the set to track down.
Special Art Rares to chase
The SAR line-up includes Serperior ex 167/086, Zekrom ex 169/086 and Genesect ex 172/086. Add the BWR and Zekrom fans get two premium versions of that Pokémon to chase inside one Japanese Black Bolt booster box.
Take your time with each seven-card pack. Fan the cards out, check the Poké Ball mirror foils and sleeve every AR and SAR before you reach for the next wrapper.
Japanese Black Bolt and the English release
The pair reached English shelves as Black Bolt and White Flare in July 2025. In English they became the first split expansion, sold as two separate sets.
That gives collectors a choice of language. Many fans keep the Japanese release next to their English cards to compare how each version presents Zekrom ex. If you prefer English product, the Black Bolt ETB is the English option from the same set.
Building a shelf of Japanese Scarlet & Violet displays? The Ruler of the Black Flame SV3 Box is another Japanese box from the same series to sit beside it.
