Description
Gigantamax Eternatus sets the theme for this box, and players who want the set with a full play kit can buy Darkness Ablaze ETB stock from TCG Overvault. The English Elite Trainer Box pairs eight Darkness Ablaze booster packs with sleeves, Energy and table accessories.
Its full title is Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Darkness Ablaze Elite Trainer Box. Gigantamax Pokémon are the calling card of this expansion, and Charizard VMAX is one of them, which gives every one of the eight packs a reason to be opened slowly.

Darkness Ablaze ETB contents
Inside the Darkness Ablaze Elite Trainer Box you will find:
- 8 Darkness Ablaze booster packs
- 65 card sleeves with a Gigantamax Eternatus theme
- 45 Energy cards
- A player’s guide to the Darkness Ablaze expansion
- 6 damage-counter dice
- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 acrylic condition markers
- A collector’s storage box with dividers
- 1 online code card
The packs are the excitement, but the accessories are what make the box useful for months afterwards.
If you collect the Sword & Shield era, the box also sits neatly on a shelf next to other Elite Trainer Boxes from the same period.
A Gigantamax Eternatus theme
Every one of the 65 sleeves shows Gigantamax Eternatus. Sixty cards fill a standard deck, which leaves five sleeves free for the pulls you want to keep safe.
Use them on a Darkness Ablaze deck for a matching look, or put them on any list you are currently playing. Either way, Eternatus fans get a deck that stands out before a single card hits the table.
The dark, dramatic sleeve art also makes the deck easy to pick out of a pile at a busy game night.
From sealed box to first game
Add the 45 Energy cards, six damage-counter dice, coin-flip die and two acrylic condition markers to those sleeves and the box covers almost every item a match calls for, apart from the cards you pull.
A simple plan for new players: open the eight packs, sort the Pokémon by type, choose the line you like best and build around it with Trainers and Energy. Sleeve the finished deck in Eternatus and you are ready to play.
Sharing the box between two people? Split the packs four and four, build a deck each and play them against one another.
Families who buy Darkness Ablaze ETB stock for a younger player often find the box covers a whole evening, from opening to a first match.
A look back at the Gigantamax era
Sword & Shield is remembered for its towering Gigantamax Pokémon, and Darkness Ablaze carries plenty of them. Eight packs are a relaxed way to go back to that era, fill a few binder gaps or introduce a younger fan to cards from a few years ago.
Start with the player’s guide
Flick through the player’s guide before opening anything. It gives an overview of the expansion, so you will know which pulls are deck material and which deserve a binder sleeve.
Afterwards, the storage box and its dividers keep everything organised, so the deck, spare Energy and accessories are ready for the next game.
