The official announcement calls the Eevee promo illustration rare-style. In a binder, that design pairs neatly with the special illustration rares from the set.
Across 180 cards in total, 131 of them in the main set, the spotlight is shared by Sylveon, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon.
Chase cards and parallels
Most of the excitement centres on the 32 special illustration rares. Top of the list is the Umbreon ex (161/131) special illustration rare, and close behind it comes the Sylveon ex (156/131).
Even the regular cards sparkle, because they also appear as parallel foils with Poké Ball or Master Ball patterns. Pulling your favourite Eeveelution as a Master Ball parallel is one of the best moments of any opening.
Players are not left out. The set includes 6 ACE SPEC Trainer cards, and each of the nine packs in the Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box is another chance at one.
An easy gift for Eevee fans
Eevee’s many Evolutions mean almost every Pokémon fan has a favourite, which makes this box a safe choice when you are unsure what to buy.
Younger collectors can start playing straight away with the sleeves, Energy, dice and coin-flip die, and the player’s guide explains the basics. Older fans will enjoy the promo and the chance at an Umbreon ex.
That broad appeal is why so many gift shoppers buy Prismatic Evolutions ETB stock for birthdays and holidays.
ETB or Super-Premium Collection?
Inside the Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection you will find a playmat, 65 sleeves, a fuzzy Eevee deck box, a full-art foil Eevee ex promo and 15 booster packs. With nine packs, the Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box has fewer, but it adds a storage box with dividers, dice, a coin-flip die and 45 Energy cards.
Sorting and storing your pulls
Use the four dividers to separate cards by type. A nine-pocket binder page holds Eevee and its eight Evolutions perfectly, so the whole family fits on one sheet.
Put the Eevee promo and every special illustration rare into sleeves the moment you pull them. Grouping your Poké Ball and Master Ball parallels in one place also makes it easy to see which patterns you have collected.
Keeping one sealed
A popular approach is to open one box and leave a second on display. Any box you keep sealed is best stored lying flat in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight, ideally inside a clear protective case that guards the corners.
