What the Zeon’s Rush box contains
The set follows the same layout as its sister starters:
- A Red and Green 50-card deck
- 3 GUNDAM ASSEMBLE kits to build
- 10 Resource cards and 8 tokens
- A paper damage counter
- A playsheet with the rules
- A bonus pack
The deck, Resources, tokens, damage counter and playsheet all come together, so the box covers your first game from setup to the final attack.
The three Zeon kits
GUNDAM ASSEMBLE kits are small, unpainted Gunpla that sit on token cards during play. Paint them in Zeon colours if you have the supplies, which are sold separately, or build them as they come and start playing right away.
Char Aznable and Full Frontal at the helm
Two of the best-known commanders in Gundam lead this deck. Char Aznable takes the controls of Char’s Zaku II, while Full Frontal pilots the Sinanju.
If you have always sided with Zeon and Neo Zeon, this is the starter that lets you play that role from your very first match, with both leaders in the same list.
Zeon machines on the table
Once the GUNDAM ASSEMBLE kits are built, your Zeon forces become something you can see rather than just read. A miniature standing on its token card makes it easy to track what is in play, and it adds a hobby element to every match.
Playing an aggressive Red and Green deck
Red and Green in the Zeon’s Rush Starter Set are tuned for attack. The aim is to force your opponent onto the defensive in the opening turns and keep pushing before they find their footing.
That makes it a good teaching deck for players who learn best by taking the initiative, and a lively choice for anyone who enjoys short, decisive games.
Tips for your first games
Lead with your threats, watch how your opponent responds and keep track of damage with the paper counter. After a few matches you will have a feel for when to push hard and when to hold a card back.
Growing beyond the starter
When you know the deck well, note which cards you lean on most and which ones rarely leave your hand. Swapping in more Red cards from booster packs is the natural next step for a Zeon player.
Who the Zeon’s Rush Starter Set suits
- Char Aznable and Full Frontal fans
- Players who would rather attack than wait
- Newcomers who want to learn by taking the initiative
- Friends looking for a fast opponent to face another starter set
Pair it with a friend’s starter for two-player games at home. A defensive rival such as the SEED Strike ST04A starter set, which plays White and Red, makes a good contrast.
