White Flare (SV10.5): Reshiram’s half of Unova
Released on 18 July 2025 as set SV10.5, Scarlet & Violet—White Flare totals 173 cards, 86 of them in the main set.
Together with Black Bolt, White Flare makes up the first English split expansion. Reshiram leads the White Flare side, and between the two sets every Unova Pokémon is included, so fans of the Black and White era are well looked after.
White Flare or Black Bolt?
Zekrom fronts Black Bolt, while Reshiram fronts White Flare. Both sets came out in Japan on 6 June 2025, as Black Bolt (SV11B) and White Flare (SV11W). The Japanese Black Bolt SV11B Booster Box contains 20 seven-card packs, and its Black White Rare is Zekrom ex.
With the Unova Pokémon split between the two sets, many collectors buy White Flare ETB stock together with a Black Bolt product so the whole region is covered.
Black White Rares and other chase cards
Black Bolt and White Flare debut the Black White Rare, a new monochrome rarity that stands out with its black and white look. Here are the White Flare examples:
- Victini (172/086)
- Reshiram ex (173/086)
Special illustration rares
Two more cards near the top of most want lists are the Hilda special illustration rare (171/086) and the Reshiram ex special illustration rare (166/086).
Poké Ball and Master Ball parallels
Master Ball and Poké Ball parallel foils are part of the set as well, which means even everyday cards can show up with a special pattern. All nine packs in the White Flare Elite Trainer Box give you another shot at these finishes.
Playing and organising a Unova collection
For players
The 65 sleeves, 45 Energy cards, dice, coin-flip die and condition markers give you everything needed to sleeve up and run a deck from your pulls.
For collectors
For collectors, the White Flare Elite Trainer Box offers nine packs plus a sturdy collector’s box to anchor a set binder. If your Pokémon journey began in Unova, it also delivers a whole region’s worth of nostalgia.
Sorting your pulls
Split Pokémon, Trainers and Energy with the four dividers, or sort by type and give each Energy colour a section of its own. Special illustration rares and Black White Rares should go into sleeves and top loaders right away. Building both halves? One binder per set keeps Zekrom’s side and Reshiram’s side neatly apart.
