Box details
- OP-09 Emperors in the New World, English edition
- Released 13 December 2024
- 24 packs in the box
- 12 cards in each pack, 288 cards in total
- 127 card types, including 2 Secret Rares and 1 Treasure Rare
One box is a sensible amount if you plan to build around a single Emperor, and it is easy to split with friends who want to celebrate the anniversary too.
The 288 cards in an Emperors in the New World booster box also give you a good stack of duplicates. Use them to fill out playsets for your chosen Emperor, or trade them with friends who are building around a different one.
A new line-up of Emperors
The big idea behind OP-09 is the new Four Emperors. Luffy and Buggy have joined Shanks and Teach at the top. For anyone following the manga, that change at the top is a big moment, and this set puts it front and centre.
As an anniversary set, OP-09 gives its cards a more lavish look than a regular release. Collectors who enjoy premium finishes will want to see them up close.
Pick your Emperor
Each of the four gives you a different character to build around. Open the Emperors in the New World booster box, set aside the cards for your favourite, and use the rest as trade bait for the Emperor a friend is chasing.
ONE PIECE ODYSSEY at the card table
OP-09 is the first set to carry a large batch of ONE PIECE ODYSSEY cards, based on the role-playing game. Fans of that game can now bring its adventure to the card table.
Those cards also add variety to a binder. Give them a page of their own so the Odyssey theme stands apart from the Emperor cards.
Players can mix the two themes too. Sort your pulls by colour first, then look at which Odyssey cards share a colour with the Emperor you want to play. You may find a few surprising additions for your deck that way.
Set breakdown by rarity
Across 127 card types, OP-09 includes:
- 6 Leaders and 6 Special Cards
- 45 Commons and 30 Uncommons
- 26 Rares and 10 Super Rares
- 2 Secret Rares and 1 Treasure Rare
- 1 DON!! card
Have sleeves and a couple of top loaders out before you start, ready for a Secret Rare or the Treasure Rare if one shows up. Every pack is randomly assorted, so treat each one as a fresh look at the set. Logging your pulls as you go makes it simple to see which rarities you still need.
Storing the display
Before opening day, lay the box flat somewhere shaded. That keeps the packaging clean for gifting or for a spot on your shelf. A sealed Emperors in the New World booster box makes a thoughtful present for a One Piece fan who follows the manga.
