What you get in the Awakening of the New Era booster box
Here is a quick snapshot of the set behind this box:
- Set: OP-05 Awakening of the New Era
- Language: English
- Release date: 8 December 2023
- Story focus: the Skypiea arc and the Revolutionary Army
- Highlight: fresh Eiichiro Oda illustrations for the 1st anniversary
The product details we have do not list a pack count, so we have left that number off this page instead of guessing. What you are buying is a sealed English box from the main OP-05 set, ready to rip for play or to keep on the shelf unopened.
Skypiea and the Revolutionary Army
OP-05 is really two themes in one set. Half the spotlight goes to the Skypiea arc, and the rest goes to the Revolutionary Army. That split gives the set an unusually wide spread of faces to open, sort and build around.
For collectors, it means two story threads inside one English box. For players, it means more than one deck idea to test once the cards are laid out on the table and grouped by colour.
Who will enjoy this set most
Fans who rank Skypiea among their favourite arcs, readers who follow the Revolutionary Army storyline, and anyone filling a shelf with the early main sets will get the most from an Awakening of the New Era booster box.
Eiichiro Oda anniversary artwork
The One Piece Card Game marked its 1st anniversary with this set, and Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the manga, supplied new illustrations for cards in OP-05. For anyone who has read the manga for years, that is a real highlight.
It is also a strong reason to open the box yourself. Keep a stack of penny sleeves and top loaders beside you, so any Oda-illustrated pull goes straight into protection before it touches the table.
Binder collectors building a page around the first year of the game will find the Awakening of the New Era booster box a natural centrepiece for that collection.
Playing with your OP-05 pulls
OP-05 works well alongside the ST-10 starter deck. If you already own ST-10, an Awakening of the New Era booster box gives you extra cards to push that list further and tune it for your local meta.
New to the game? Sort your pulls by colour first, pick the colour that grabs you, and build a fresh deck from there. The mix of Skypiea and Revolutionary Army characters leaves plenty of room to experiment.
Because this is the English edition, the cards suit English-format events at local game stores, and the card text is easy to follow while you are still learning the rules.
