BT14 at a glance
- Unison Warrior Series Set 05: Cross Spirits
- Set code BT14
- Released 13 August 2021
- 12 cards per pack
- 292 card types across the set
Our product details do not give a pack count for this box, so we have not listed one. What they do confirm is the 12-card pack size, which gives each pack a decent handful to sort.
Because Cross Spirits is a few years old now, a sealed box is also a neat way to own a piece of Masters history. Keep it closed as part of a Unison Warrior shelf, or open it and see what the set looked like straight from the wrapper.
The Cross Spirits rarity ladder
From bottom to top, the set is built like this:
- 60 Commons, each printed in normal and holo
- 38 Uncommons
- 30 Rares
- 23 Super Rares
- 10 Special Rares
- 3 Secret Rares
With just three Secret Rares at the peak and 23 Super Rares below them, the higher tiers give you plenty to hunt through. The holo Commons also add a little shine to even the lowest rarity.
Keep top loaders on hand for the Secret Rares and penny sleeves for the Super and Special Rares. Older cards deserve the same care as new ones, especially if you plan to keep them in a binder long term.
The Unison Warrior years
Masters ran under the Unison Warrior banner from 2020 until 2022. The Zenkai Series followed, adding Z-cards and Z-Leaders to the game.
Cracking a BT14 booster box today takes you back to that period. Use the cards for relaxed games among friends who enjoy the older format, or slot the art into a binder dedicated to the era.
A useful comparison for newer players
If you started Masters with Z-Leaders, Cross Spirits shows you how the game looked about a year before they arrived. Laying old and new cards side by side is a fun way to see how card design has moved on.
It can also spark ideas. Seeing how earlier cards handled familiar characters may give you a fresh angle on the decks you build in the current format.
Who Cross Spirits suits
- Binder collectors working through Unison Warrior one set at a time
- Friends who like casual games with pre-Zenkai cards
- Masters fans after a single box to open at home
Sorting your pulls
A set with 292 types rewards a bit of organisation. Split your cards by rarity first, then order each pile by card number. Gaps in your Super Rares and Special Rares become obvious, and duplicates are ready to trade with other Masters players. A simple checklist on your phone makes the process even quicker the next time you open a BT14 booster box.
