Drawing cards by picking targets
Riftbound is Riot Games’ League of Legends trading card game, and every player leads with a Legend card for their champion. This Prodigal Explorer Legend has a Reaction ability: exhaust it to draw a card. The catch is a condition you need to meet first. During that turn, you have to have chosen enemy units, enemy gear or a mix of both on two occasions, using spells or unit abilities.
That makes Ezreal 248/221 a natural fit for a Mind and Chaos deck packed with spells and abilities that point at the opponent’s side of the board. Once you have picked out enemy targets twice, the extra card keeps your hand topped up for the turns ahead, so the explorer rewards an active, interactive style of play.
Gear sits alongside units, spells and battlefields among Riftbound’s card types, and Ezreal 248/221 counts choosing an opponent’s gear the same way it counts choosing their units. That widens the range of effects that help you reach the two-target mark before you exhaust the Legend for its draw.
Who should add this Ezreal
Spell-slinging players who enjoy chaining small effects together, Ezreal fans building a champion binder and collectors chasing the Spiritforged Showcase Legends are the obvious audience. The Showcase art gives the Prodigal Explorer extra appeal in a display folder as well. One tip for collectors: because the card carries the name Prodigal Explorer rather than Ezreal, a search for the champion alone can miss it.
Mind also guides Viktor – Herald of the Arcane, an Origins Legend in its signature version, while Draven – Glorious Executioner is another Spiritforged Showcase Legend with Chaos among its domains.
