- Name: Irelia – Blade Dancer
- Type: Legend
- Domains: Calm and Chaos
- Version: Showcase, card 246/221
- Set: Spiritforged
Two ways Blade Dancer readies
Her first ability triggers whenever you choose a friendly unit. At that point you may exhaust Irelia and pay 1 rune to ready the unit you chose, giving a spent attacker or defender a second chance to act. The second ability ties into scoring: when you conquer, you can pay 1 to ready the Legend again, setting her up to repeat the trick. A deck that conquers regularly can get repeated value from her across a game.
Every ready she grants costs a rune, so plan your spending around the turns where an extra action matters most.
Building with Calm and Chaos
Units that benefit from being chosen or readied are the obvious partners, especially hard hitters that make a second action count. Chaos opens the second half of the deck to a different pool of cards, giving you room to experiment, and since every ready costs a rune, extra rune sources earn their slot.
Players choosing Irelia as their champion get the Irelia Legend Spiritforged Showcase printing at the head of their list, and the Calm and Chaos split leaves plenty of room to tune the deck for 1v1, 2v2 or free-for-all play.
For collectors, card 246 runs well past Spiritforged’s 221, placing the Irelia Blade Dancer 246/221 among the set’s high-numbered Showcase cards. It makes a handsome Irelia Legend Spiritforged centrepiece for a binder page of the set’s Showcase Legends.
More cards for an Irelia deck
On the Chaos side, the Seal of Discord Showcase is a Gear that exhausts as a reaction to add a Chaos rune, handy when Irelia keeps asking for one. Azir – Emperor of the Sands is another Spiritforged Showcase Legend, and it shares her Calm domain.
