Poppy – Keeper of the Hammer card summary
- Card: Poppy – Keeper of the Hammer
- Version: Showcase, signature version, 237*/219
- Set: Riftbound Unleashed
- Type: Legend
- Domains: Body and Order
- Ability: holding earns 1 XP, and you can exhaust and spend 3 XP to draw a card
As a Legend, the Poppy Signature Card can sit at the front of a deck and shape how the whole list plays, which is why her ability deserves a closer look.
Earning XP by holding battlefields
Poppy’s Legend grants 1 XP whenever you hold. Since holding battlefields is already a way to score points in Riftbound, she layers a second reward on top of the same steady play, and across a long match those small gains add up to a real advantage.
Turning XP into cards
Once you have 3 XP saved, you can spend it and exhaust Poppy to draw a card. The draw also requires exhausting her, which sets a natural pace: the longer the game runs, the more often your stockpile of XP turns into fresh cards.
Planning your holds
Think a turn ahead about which battlefields you can keep. Every successful hold moves you toward the next draw, so a board that stays put is worth even more with Poppy leading the deck.
Building a Body and Order deck around Poppy
Deck builders working with her two domains are steered towards tough units that keep control of a battlefield across many turns. It is a style for players who prefer grinding out an edge to racing for a fast win.
Defensive habits pay off here. Units that survive and stay in place keep the holds coming, and every hold feeds Poppy’s XP total, so protection effects become doubly useful.
Cards that keep your units on the board
- Soraka – Wanderer (signature version): an Order Champion Unit that heals and recalls smaller allies instead of letting them die
- Fiora – Grand Duelist: worth a look for Body and Order fans, this Spiritforged Legend channels a rune whenever one of your units becomes MIGHTY
For another Body card with signature status, the Yone signature card makes a strong companion in the binder.
The 237*/219 signature printing
Unleashed has 219 cards, so number 237 sits among the set’s high-numbered prints. The asterisk is what marks this copy as the Poppy Signature Card, and the Showcase artwork completes the picture.
Display options
A Poppy Signature Card works well as the centrepiece of a Poppy or Unleashed collection. Keep it in a top loader for safe storage, a magnetic holder for the shelf or a display frame on the wall.
