Seal of Discord card details
- Card: Seal of Discord
- Type: Gear
- Domain: Chaos
- Cost: 0 Energy and 1 Power
- Version: Showcase, 234/221
- Set: Riftbound Spiritforged
In Spiritforged, every one of the six domains has a Seal of its own, and this Seal of Discord Card fills the Chaos slot in that cycle.
As Gear, it supports your plan rather than leading it, which is why it pairs so well with a strong Chaos Legend.
What the Seal does on the table
Putting it down
The Seal costs 0 Energy and 1 Power to play, so it slips into a turn without eating into your Energy.
Exhaust for a Chaos rune
After it hits the table, you can exhaust it as a reaction to add a Chaos rune to your pool. The extra rune goes towards the Chaos Power that so many of the domain’s cards demand.
No window to respond
Abilities that add resources cannot be reacted to, so no opponent gets a chance to respond before you spend the rune. Because it works at reaction speed, you can leave the Seal ready until the exact moment you need it.
When to hold it
If you have nothing to spend the rune on yet, keep the Seal ready. The extra Chaos Power tends to matter most at the moment you commit to a key play, so there is no rush to use it early.
Chaos Legends that use the extra rune
Three Chaos Legends in the TCG Overvault range show the kind of decks a Seal of Discord Card fits:
- Draven – Glorious Executioner: Fury and Chaos, drawing a card each time you win a combat
- Prodigal Explorer (Ezreal): Mind and Chaos, with a draw that triggers after you choose enemy units or gear for the second time in a turn
- Irelia – Blade Dancer: Calm and Chaos, paying a rune each time she readies a friendly unit
Whichever one leads, the Chaos half of the deck needs Chaos Power, and a busy turn can stretch your pool thin. A ready Seal trims that cost by one.
A quiet card that adds up
The Seal rarely grabs attention, yet its extra rune keeps paying off across a long game, especially in decks that spend Chaos Power on most turns.
Showcase art and the Spiritforged Seal cycle
Showcase marks Riftbound’s special-art versions, and number 234 sits past the 221 cards in Spiritforged’s main count. For Chaos fans, this Seal of Discord Card brings that special art to a deck or a binder.
Care between games
Protect the art with a close-fitting sleeve, then store the card in a rigid top loader so it stays flat and clean whenever it is not in a deck.
Who this card suits
- Chaos players who need extra Chaos Power
- Fans of Draven, Ezreal or Irelia decks
- Collectors completing the Spiritforged Seal cycle
- Showcase collectors building a Spiritforged binder
