Everything in the Destiny Ignition box
Here is the full contents list for the box:
- 1 ready-to-play 50-card deck
- 22 extra cards across 13 types
- 10 Resource cards
- 2 token cards
- 6 damage-counter dice in a new dice colour
- 1 bonus pack holding a textured holographic foil card, drawn from 10 Ultimate Deck cards
- 1 rule sheet that doubles as a playsheet
Having the rule sheet double as a playsheet is a handy touch for new players, because it keeps the rules within reach while you work through your first few games.
How an Ultimate Deck differs from a starter
A standard starter set hands you a deck and the essentials. The Destiny Ignition Ultimate Deck adds a layer on top: 22 extra cards across 13 types that sit alongside the core 50.
Those extras let you adjust the list, test alternatives and swap options in and out as you learn how the deck plays. The six dice cover damage tracking, and their new colour sets them apart from any dice you already own.
Using the 22 extra cards
Play a few games with the deck exactly as built first. Once you know which cards feel weakest, try swapping in one or two of the extras at a time, so you can see clearly what each change does.
Built around Gundam SEED Destiny
New characters and Mobile Suits from Gundam SEED Destiny appear throughout ST09. If that series is your favourite, you get a themed build that is ready for the table from the moment you open the box.
Interested in the earlier part of the story? Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala star in the SEED Strike ST04A starter set.
Learning the deck
If you are new to SEED Destiny, playing the deck is a good way to meet its cast. Each game shows you how the Mobile Suits and Pilots from the series work together, and the extra cards let you lean into the ones you enjoy most.
The bonus holo foil
Every box includes a bonus pack containing one of ten Ultimate Deck cards in textured holographic foil. It is a welcome extra for players who like their deck to look as good as it plays.
Who the Destiny Ignition Ultimate Deck suits
- Gundam SEED Destiny fans
- Newer players ready to move past a basic deck and grow their game
- Experienced players looking for a strong base to customise
- Collectors chasing the ten textured holo foil Ultimate Deck cards
As the first product in the Ultimate Deck line, ST09 is also a natural pick for anyone who wants to follow that line from the very beginning.
A gift for a Gundam fan
Because it arrives ready to play, with dice and a playsheet in the box, the Ultimate Deck makes an easy present for a Gundam fan who wants to start playing without building a deck from scratch.
