Inside the box
- Sixteen booster packs
- Nine cards per pack
- A box PR card, with five different versions to collect
- SP cards, each finished with the title logo in foil
- SWR (Star Wars Rare) cards that pair the logo with memorable film quotes
Sixteen packs of nine cards gives you 144 cards per box, with the PR card on top. Because the PR comes from a set of five, collectors who want them all have a reason to open more than one box.
SP and SWR cards
The SP cards stand out thanks to their foil-stamped title logo, while the SWR cards combine the logo with well-known quotes from the films. If you love memorable Star Wars lines, the SWR cards are the ones to look out for.
What the comeback set changes
The comeback set brings back every card from the 2017 Japanese Weiss Schwarz Star Wars booster and its trial deck. A redesigned card back has been added, and the text on 19 cards has been revised.
Older cards are still useful. You can shuffle the new printings into a deck alongside the cards you already own, so this box adds to an existing collection rather than replacing it. That compatibility is a big reason to buy Star Wars Comeback Booster Box stock even if you own the 2017 set.
Mixing old and new cards
If you combine both printings, sleeve your deck so the different card backs look the same during play. Collectors who want to keep their 2017 originals in top condition can store them in a binder and play with the comeback versions instead.
Artwork from four films
All illustrations were created specifically for Weiss Schwarz, with subjects taken from four films:
- A New Hope
- The Empire Strikes Back
- Return of the Jedi
- The Force Awakens
That spread means fans of the original trilogy and fans of the sequel era will both find scenes from their favourite films. The Weiss Schwarz Star Wars Comeback Booster Box lets you collect artwork from all four. A binder page for each film makes a striking way to display the collection.
Who should pick it up
Players who never opened the 2017 cards finally have a chance to collect them. Anyone who already owns the originals can bring their deck up to date with the revised text on 19 cards.
Quote lovers will enjoy hunting the SWR cards, and the foil-stamped SP cards add a premium touch. When you buy Star Wars Comeback Booster Box stock, you get all of this in one sealed box.
Prefer a different franchise? The Weiss Schwarz Marvel Booster Box brings the Avengers to the game, and the Uma Musume Booster Box followed in December 2022. For voice actor sign cards, try the Attack on Titan Vol 2 Booster Box.
