White Flare (SV10.5): Reshiram’s half of Unova
Scarlet & Violet—White Flare, set SV10.5, was released on 18 July 2025. It has 86 main-set cards and 173 cards in total.
White Flare is one half of the first English split expansion, paired with Black Bolt. Reshiram headlines White Flare, and across the two sets every Unova Pokémon appears, which makes the pair a treat for fans of the Black and White era.
White Flare or Black Bolt?
Black Bolt is led by Zekrom, while White Flare follows Reshiram. In Japan the two launched as White Flare (SV11W) and Black Bolt (SV11B) on 6 June 2025, and the Japanese Black Bolt SV11B Booster Box holds 20 packs of seven cards with Zekrom ex as its Black White Rare.
Because every Unova Pokémon is spread across the pair, many collectors buy White Flare ETB stock alongside a Black Bolt product to complete the region.
Black White Rares and other chase cards
White Flare and Black Bolt introduce the Black White Rare, a new monochrome rarity with a striking black and white look. White Flare’s Black White Rares are:
- Victini (172/086)
- Reshiram ex (173/086)
Special illustration rares
The Reshiram ex special illustration rare (166/086) and the Hilda special illustration rare (171/086) are two more cards high on most want lists.
Poké Ball and Master Ball parallels
The set also features Poké Ball and Master Ball parallel foils, so even everyday cards can appear with a special pattern. Each of the nine packs in the White Flare Elite Trainer Box is another chance at one of these finishes.
Playing and organising a Unova collection
For players
The 65 sleeves, 45 Energy cards, dice, coin-flip die and condition markers give you everything needed to sleeve up and run a deck from your pulls.
For collectors
The White Flare Elite Trainer Box gives collectors nine packs and a sturdy collector’s box as a base for a set binder, and fans who started their Pokémon journey in Unova get a whole region of nostalgia.
Sorting your pulls
Use the four dividers to separate Pokémon, Trainers and Energy, or sort by type so each Energy colour gets its own section. Put Black White Rares and special illustration rares into sleeves and top loaders straight away. If you are building both halves, a binder for each set keeps Reshiram’s side and Zekrom’s side neatly apart.
