Description
Anyone looking to buy Lorcana First Chapter Booster Box stock is heading straight back to where the game began. TCG Overvault sells the sealed Set 1 display of 24 packs in Australian dollars and ships it to any address in Australia.
Disney Lorcana began with Set 1, and The First Chapter Booster Box is packed with that debut release. Local game stores and Disney Parks got it first on 18 August 2023, wider retail followed on 1 September 2023, and its 200-plus card pool is still a friendly entry point to the game.

What you get in a First Chapter display
Each sealed display follows the standard Lorcana booster layout, so you know what every pack brings to the table:
- 24 Set 1 booster packs
- 12 cards per pack
- 1 foil in every pack
- 2 cards of rare or higher per pack
- 3 uncommons and 6 commons per pack
Opened in full, the box delivers 288 cards from the debut pool. That gives you spare commons for deck building and plenty of chances at the rares you want to slide into a binder.
How a game of Lorcana works
In Lorcana, two or more players step into the role of Illumineers. Each one draws on magical ink to bring Disney characters, known as glimmers, into play, then uses actions, items and songs to stay a step ahead.
The goal is easy to explain: be first to 20 lore. You collect lore by questing with your glimmers, or you slow a rival down by challenging their characters.
A two-player match takes roughly 20 minutes, and the game is rated for ages 8 and up, so a quick round slots into a busy evening without fuss.
Six inks to explore in Set 1
Set 1 introduced the six inks that every later release builds on:
- Amber
- Amethyst
- Emerald
- Ruby
- Sapphire
- Steel
A deck can draw on up to two of them. Opening The First Chapter Booster Box in full is a practical way to try each ink, discover the pairing that suits your style, and keep the commons and uncommons as building blocks for later decks.
Getting the most from your first box
A tidy opening session pays off later. Sort the 288 cards by ink as you go, then by rarity, so you can see straight away which inks you have enough of to build with.
Slip the foils and higher-rarity pulls into sleeves before they get shuffled around the table. Keep a spare stack of commons and uncommons from each ink, because those cards become the backbone of your first decks and stay useful when you add newer sets.
Who this Set 1 display suits
Set 1 was designed to welcome new players, yet it carries enough depth to hold up in competitive play. That balance makes The First Chapter Booster Box a good fit for:
- Families learning a new card game together
- Collectors who want the game from its very first release
- Binder builders who sort their cards in set order
- Disney fans curious about trading card games
It also makes a generous present, since a full display gives the recipient plenty to open, sort and play with.
