Which sealed product should you buy?
The same set is often sold in several formats, and each one suits a different kind of collector. It helps to know the difference before you buy trading cards online, so here is a quick rundown.

Booster boxes
Booster boxes are full, factory-sealed displays of booster packs. They give you the most packs for your money and the best odds of opening a set’s rarest cards, which is why booster boxes are the favourite format for serious collectors, players drafting with friends and group openings. Browse examples such as the PRB-01 Premium Booster Box.
Elite Trainer Boxes and bundles
A Pokémon Elite Trainer Box pairs a handful of booster packs with sleeves, dice, Energy cards and a sturdy storage box, so it suits new players and gift buyers. The Ascended Heroes ETB is a good example. Booster bundles are a lighter option: a small stack of packs with no accessories.
Collections and special boxes
Premium collections add exclusive promo cards, figures, pins or playmats to a set of packs. Products like the Charizard ex Super Premium Collection are popular as gifts and as display pieces for a collection shelf.
Cases, starter decks and single cards
Sealed cases hold several booster boxes or Elite Trainer Boxes in the publisher’s original outer carton. Starter decks give you a ready-to-play deck in one box, and our Riftbound range is sold as individual cards, so you can pick the exact card you want.
How to buy trading cards online at TCG Overvault
Finding and ordering the right product only takes a few steps:
- Pick a game. Choose a category from the menu, or type a set name or set code into the search bar.
- Sort the list. Use the sort menu to show the latest arrivals first, the most popular products, or prices from low to high.
- Check the details. Each product page explains what is in the box, which set it belongs to, its language and the cards worth chasing.
- Add to cart. Keep shopping across as many games as you like, then review everything in your cart.
- Check out securely. Enter your delivery details, pay through our encrypted checkout and look out for your email confirmation.
Creating an account saves your details for next time and keeps your order history in one place, which makes it quicker to buy trading cards online with us again.
A quick checklist before you buy

A minute of checking makes sure the box you order is the one you want:
- Language. Japanese and Chinese products are printed in that language and often use a different set structure from the English release.
- Edition. Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes come with their own promo cards and packaging, so check whether a listing is a Pokémon Center edition or a standard release.
- Format. The same set name can appear on a booster box, a bundle and a pack listing, so make sure you have picked the format you want.
- Set name or code. Games like One Piece and Dragon Ball Super number their sets, so match the code to the set you are after.
- Open or keep sealed. If you plan to open the product, booster boxes usually give the best value per pack. If you plan to keep it sealed, choose the box you want on your shelf.
Still deciding? Every product page links to related products from the same range, so you can compare formats side by side before you choose.

Shop FAQs
Can I buy trading cards online and have them shipped anywhere in Australia?
Yes. We ship orders Australia-wide, to every state and territory, and pack each box to protect it on the way.
Are all prices in Australian dollars?
Yes. Every price on TCG Overvault is shown in AUD, and that is the amount you pay at checkout.
Do you sell booster boxes for games other than Pokémon?
Yes. Alongside Pokémon, we stock booster boxes for One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Dragon Ball Super, Disney Lorcana, Gundam and Weiss Schwarz.
Which product is best for a beginner?
For Pokémon, an Elite Trainer Box is the easiest place to start because it includes packs, sleeves, dice and Energy cards in one box. For other games, a starter deck gives you a ready-to-play deck, and a booster bundle from the same set lets you build on it.
How are Japanese booster boxes different from English ones?
Japanese packs usually hold fewer cards, and the card stock, artwork placement and set names can differ from the English release. Some sets come out in Japan first and a few never get an English version, which is why plenty of collectors buy both.
What makes a good gift for a card collector?
Premium collections and Elite Trainer Boxes are the most popular gifts because they look impressive and include extras like promo cards. If you know which game and set the person collects, a sealed box from that set is always a safe choice.
Do you sell single cards?
Our single cards are Riftbound signature and showcase cards. The rest of the range is sealed product.
How do I see what is new?
Choose “Sort by latest” in the sort menu to see the newest products first, or join our newsletter at the bottom of the page for release dates and restock alerts.
