Newtype Rising GD01 Booster Box

Description

Players who want to buy Newtype Rising GD01 Booster Box stock for a Red Zeon build or a deeper Unicorn list can find the sealed display at TCG Overvault, priced in Australian dollars.

Released on 25 July 2025, GD01 takes five Gundam series from Edition Beta, gives each a larger card pool and then adds a new colour to the game. The Newtype Rising GD01 Booster Box holds 24 boosters for an evening at home or your next game night.

Inside the GD01 display

• 24 booster packs per display
• 12 cards per pack
• 1 extra slot per pack: a Resource, EX Resource, EX Token or Unit Token
• 130 cards and 4 token types in the set
• Release date: 25 July 2025

That extra slot means every pack gives you something beyond the main twelve cards, whether it is a Resource, an EX Resource or one of the token cards.

The GD01 rarity spread

• 50 Common
• 35 Uncommon
• 32 Rare
• 12 Legend Rare

Legend Rare is the top rarity in the Gundam Card Game, and 47 cards are also printed as alt art, so every pack in the Newtype Rising GD01 Booster Box deserves a careful look before it joins the pile.

Five series return with deeper pools

Newtype Rising brings back five series from Edition Beta:

• Mobile Suit Gundam
• Gundam Unicorn
• Gundam Wing
• Gundam SEED
• The Witch from Mercury

Each one returns with a wider spread of cards than before, and many Mobile Suits and Pilots appear in the Gundam Card Game for the first time here. Decks built around any of these shows gain fresh options straight away.

Picking a series to follow

If you already have a favourite show, open the box with that series in mind and set its cards aside first. If you do not, the returning five give you a broad spread to try before you settle on one.

Red arrives with Zeon and Neo Zeon

The biggest change in GD01 is the arrival of Red. These Zeon and Neo Zeon cards can deal damage to units directly, which gives aggressive players a way to clear the field without relying on combat alone.

If you like to press the advantage early, Red is the colour to explore. It also pairs naturally with the Zeon’s Rush ST03A starter set, a ready-made Red and Green deck that gives your Newtype Rising pulls a solid base.

Building around Red

Sort your Red cards into their own pile as you open. Once the box is done, you will know whether you have enough Zeon and Neo Zeon cards for a dedicated list, or whether a starter deck would round it out.

Who the Newtype Rising GD01 Booster Box suits

• Players building a Red Zeon deck
• Fans strengthening a Unicorn, Wing, SEED or Witch from Mercury list
• Collectors after the 12 Legend Rares and 47 alt arts
• Groups of mates planning a shared opening

A full display gives you a broad base of GD01 cards in one go, which is handy whether you play competitively or simply want to try each returning series.

For a shared opening, deal the packs out evenly and let each person claim cards from the series they enjoy most.
